9. Justin Herbert, 2020

Justin Herbert has only played two seasons with the Chargers so this might seem like an extremely high place to rank him. Herbert obviously does not have the overall accolades that other players have on this list, which is what is holding Joey Bosa back for the time being.

That being said, the Chargers drafted a quarterback who is already a top-five quarterback in the league with the potential to be the best. The Chargers could have the best player in the most important position in the sport. We are projecting a bit, but the Chargers have a better chance of winning a Super Bowl in the next decade-plus than they ever had before.

Herbert has broken just about every passing record that a quarterback can break in their first two seasons in the league. Even as a high draft pick, he is going to quickly make his way up this list with more and more success.

8. Leslie O'Neal, 1986

Speaking of Bosa, this is probably around the ceiling for where he could end up on this list. As it currently stands right now, Leslie O'Neal is the best pass-rusher in franchise history with the most sacks in franchise history.

O'Neal recorded 105.5 sacks with the Chargers across nine seasons. In those nine seasons, O'Neal was named to six Pro Bowls and was named the Defensive Player of the Year. Joey Bosa is at 58 career sacks and is still only 26 years old, so he has a good chance of surpassing O'Neal.
