Denver Broncos: Kayvon Thibodeaux

Prior to the 2021 college football season, Kayvon Thibodeaux was projected by many to be the first overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. However, Thibodeaux has seen his draft stock fall and it would probably be more surprising if he was the first overall pick than it would be if he was not the first-overall pick.

That being said, he is still a top-tier prospect in this draft and is undoubtedly going to go into the top-10. The now-former Oregon Duck is going to be a problem for teams in the NFL and the Broncos landing him would be less than ideal.

Thibodeaux would give the team a young pass-rushing duo next to Bradley Chubb that would be legitimately fearsome for other quarterbacks. Just when the Chargers (and others) thought they were getting a break from Von Miller, the Broncos getting Thibodeaux to fall to them would be a back-breaker.

It may seem unrealistic because of his status before the 2021 season but it is absolutely possible. Thibodeaux has fallen to the 4-6 range on most big boards with Daniel Jeremiah ranking him seventh. The Broncos have the ninth-overall pick in the draft.

All it will take is for a quarterback-hungry team (or two) to trade up into the top-eight picks for Thibodeaux to fall to the Broncos at nine. If the Broncos don't trade that pick for Aaron Rodgers then it would be a no-brainer as the quarterbacks in this year's class might not be as exciting for the team.
