For the second year in a row, the LA Chargers have drafted a wide receiver in the second round of the NFL Draft. This year didn't requite any trading up as the Chargers selected Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harris with the No. 55 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Harris was the preferred option for many in the fanbase with how the second round shook out. The Chargers stuck to their philosophy of taking the best player available, which in this case, was a pass-catcher to bolster the Chargers' offense.

Coupled with first-round pick Omarion Hampton, Harris represents an overhaul on offense for the Chargers — and fans are loving it.

Harris is going to fit like a glove in the Chargers offense next season and beyond. The six-two wideout is built to play on the perimeter, which is exactly what the Chargers need on offense. Harris is not limited to the outside, though, as he showed at Ole Miss he can play in the slot when needed as well.

Injuries kept Harris from playing every game last season but his numbers were excellent in the games he played. Harris caught 60 passes for 1,030 yards and seven touchdowns in just eight games played last season. If he stayed healthy, Harris could have been flirting with the first round.

Does that sound painfully familiar to anyone else the Chargers have drafted recently? Ladd McConkey was a first-round talent that fell to the second round because of injury concerns. The Chargers pounced on McConkey's slide, trading up in the second round to secure his services.

Harris is not quite as polished as McConkey was coming into the league but he still has tremendous upside as a complementary WR2 in a really good offense. Harris is exactly what the Chargers needed to build around McConkey not just in the short term, but the long term as well.

After years of the Chargers making questionable moves in the NFL Draft, it is great for the fanbase to have two selections to absolutely adore. While nothing is guaranteed until Harris actually suits up and plays, it's hard not to love what the Bolts have done thus far in the 2025 NFL Draft.
