Rashawn Slater gets picked right before the LA Chargers
10. Dallas Cowboys: Patrick Surtain, CB, Alabama
You could certainly make the case for the Dallas Cowboys to take Rashawn Slater to help protect Dak Prescott but that is not the most pressing need on the roster, the defense is. The Cowboys should turn to the second round to get offensive line help and take one of the top guards, such as Wyatt Davis.
Dallas takes the best cornerback on everyone’s big board in Patrick Surtain to help a defense that allowed the fifth-most points per game last season. He would instantly be the CB1 on the Cowboys.
11. New York Giants: Rashawn Slater, OL, Northwestern
The New York Giants do not really need an offensive tackle as they have Nate Solder and they took Matt Peart in last year’s draft. However, the offensive line in New York was atrocious last season and they need more protection on the inside.
Slater can play anywhere on the offensive line and the Giants would get their Swiss Army Knife on the offensive line to help protect Daniel Jones.
There is still a slim chance that the LA Chargers get Slater or Sewell if the Giants wait until the second round to take an interior offensive lineman, but this appears to be a prove-it year for Daniel Jones in which they give him everything he needs to succeed.
12. Philadelphia Eagles: Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama
Jalen Hurts needs weapons in Philadelphia and that is exactly what the Eagles give him in Jaylen Waddle. Waddle is an absolute burner and gives Hurts an over-the-top option that the Eagles are hoping can be their Tyreek Hill.
