The LA Chargers are currently sitting in a good position. The team is coming out of the bye week with a 4-2 record in what was the toughest part of the 2021 schedule. With the Kansas City Chiefs struggling more than anyone could have expected, the door is wide open for the Chargers to make a run at the AFC West crown.

This is uncharted territory for this Chargers regime. Not only is this coaching staff essentially brand-new with the Bolts but the front office has not been in this position, quite frankly, ever. The Bolts have only made the playoffs twice since Tom Telesco was hired as the general manager. The team has not won the division since the 2009 season.

This is a team that is good enough to win the division but there are holes on the roster that need to be patched. The run defense is perhaps the biggest hole and there are trade options for the Chargers to explore in order to fill that gap.

However, that is not the only potential area that the LA Chargers could address via trade.

The NFL trade deadline is officially a week away and the Bolts are in a prime position to make a deal. While the main focus might be on adding a potential defensive tackle, there are other players on the block the team can look into.

Of course, it is important to note that Telesco does not have a history of making deals. So while these players potentially make sense on paper, Telesco and his staff would have to talk themselves into making a move, which is far from a guarantee.

Let's dive into three players on the trade block that the LA Chargers could potentially trade for.
