Here we go again.

Many fans of the Los Angeles Chargers have either made that statement or soon will after news of rookie Forrest Lamp being carted off the field during Wednesday’s practice began to make the rounds.

Now, according to a tweet from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, it is believed that Lamp has suffered a torn ACL, an injury that would end his first season in the league before it even starts.

That’s a crushing blow for a team that seems to be dealt an unbelievable amount of crushing blows.

Lamp was considered by many to be one of the best picks made by any team in the NFL draft as the Chargers selected the stud offensive lineman with the No. 38 overall selection.

Lamp was a very durable player during his college career, starting in 51 games at Western Kentucky. Fans of the Chargers felt that the offensive line was really going to come together this season with him in the fold as he had every chance to be the best player on the offensive line.

Now, the team will have to scramble, again.

Last season, the Chargers had so many players on injured reserve that fans didn’t know who would suit up on game days. Now, with Lamp hurt and Mike Williams battling injuries, the team’s top two draft picks could have lost rookie seasons.

Someday, things have to turn around for this team on the injury front, right?
