Kwame Geathers Released off of Chargers IR

The San Diego Chargers made a move off of their IR list today. They released NT Kwame Geathers off of the IR after determining that his knee is healthy. He will be allowed to sign on with any roster, but will not be allowed to play for the Chargers the rest of this season.

Geathers showed potential at the nose position and looked like he was going to come into the year as the starter at the nose spot. He injured his knee in August and the team decided to place him on the IR at that time.

If the team wants to bring him back, they will have to wait till the end of the year to sign him.

I am not sure on why they would make this move unless Geathers was asking to be released off of the roster. Maybe there was not enough space on the IR list.

Adrian Phillips Re-Signed to Practice Squad

The team also brought back Adrian Phillips onto the practice squad for the millionth time. He has been released and re-signed over and over again this season. He is back on the roster with the practice squad.

He was recently released off of the 53-man roster when the team brought up Jeremiah Sirles from the practice squad.

Ryan Mathews doing Charity Work

Ryan Mathews was out at the Fashion Valley Macy’s ringing the bell for his charity work today. This photo was posted on reddit of him in his red apron.

Tuesday is usually a day for the players to do some charity work around the city. Mathews spent his time ringing the bell.

Comparison of Decembers

We all know that Philip is great in December. It sounds like Tom Brady also does damage in the month as well. Check out the comparison of the two teams and players.
