The LA Chargers and Los Angeles Rams are squaring off for the fourth consecutive year in the preseason in Week 2. Both teams are looking for something very similar as the backup quarterback play for both sides was truly horrendous in Week 1.

Whether it be to get a better gauge of the backup quarterback play or to analyze the rest of the roster, both Chargers and Rams fans should be tuning into this matchup. The outcome of the game may not matter but there are limited chances before the season to get a true idea of what the season might look like.

Of course, you cannot watch the game without knowing how to watch the game.

Chargers-Rams TV channel:

Because this game is between two Los Angeles teams there will be two local channels broadcasting the game. Fans who want Chargers-centric coverage should turn to CBS Los Angeles, while Rams fans should be tuning into ABC7. For cable providers in Southern California, CBS is on channel two while ABC is on channel seven.

Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. PT. Pre-game coverage for the Chargers will begin an hour early at 3 p.m. PT on CBS. Pre-game coverage for the Rams will begin 30 minutes early at 3:30 p.m. PT.

In-market fans can also watch the broadcast on either team's respective website for free. This only applies to the preseason and will not be the case in the regular season.

Chargers-Rams announcers:

The Chargers-centric broadcast will feature announcers who fans are familiar with from the radio. Matt "Money" Smith will be spearheading the play-by-play with Chargers legend Dan Fouts and draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah alongside him. Preseason games are the only chance to watch a Chargers game with this crew on the call. During the season they are on the radio.

The Rams-centric broadcast features a dynamic pairing of former NFL Network anchor Andrew Siciliano on play-by-play with former Rams tackle Andrew Whitworth and ESPN's Mina Kimes also on the call. ABC7's Curt Sandoval serves as the on-field reporter.

Chargers and Rams recent outcomes:

The Chargers are coming off a loss in the first preseason game of the season. The Bolts fell 16-3 to the Seattle Seahawks in a game where the offense could not get anything going thanks to atrocious quarterback play.

The Rams also got bad quarterback play from Stetson Bennett, who threw four interceptions in Week 1 but were still able to escape with a 13-12 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

As if often the case early in the preseason, defense has had the advantage thus far. Expect more of the same in this preseason showdown between the two LA teams.
