The Chargers 2023 schedule has officially been released and fans have put together their record predictions for the upcoming season. It is not an easy schedule but it certainly doesn't look as daunting as the 2022 season.

Luckily for the Bolts, there are some easy defenses that the team gets to play next season that should result in a big game for Justin Herbert and the offense. That being said, the other side of the equation is also true as the Bolts are going to have to play some really difficult defenses as well.

Ranking the 4 toughest defenses Justin Herbert and the Chargers face in 2023:

4. Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have always been known for playing smash-mouth football on the defensive side of the ball and that is going to be no different when the Chargers host them on primetime. While there are holes in the secondary that might seem easy to exploit, the Ravens have still always been able to turn in solid defensive performances.

The Ravens ranked seventh in defensive DVOA last season while also ranking third in points against and ninth in yards allowed. The depth chart might not jump off the screen but it doesn't change the fact that this defense shows up when it needs to.

Baltimore's defense was taken to an even higher level last season when the team traded (and extended) linebacker Roquan Smith. It was a lot to give up for a linebacker but he undoubtedly has a huge impact on this team.
