The LA Chargers 2023 schedule has been released and there are plenty of takeaways from how the schedule was constructed. While it is a tough slate of games, it does appear to be easier than last season and the Bolts are still a talented football team that will (hopefully) have better injury luck.

The NFL season is always full of surprises and the Chargers could end up surprising fans in a very positive way in 2023. While some fans naturally expect negative surprises with this team, it definitely could go the other way for the Bolts.

With that in mind, let's dive into some bold predictions for the Chargers' 2023 schedule that might seem absurd right now, but absolutely could happen if the right dominoes fall for the Bolts.

1. Chargers sweep the Chiefs

This definitely is a tall order. Beating the Chiefs once in a season is something to write home about so beating them twice in the same year might seem impossible. That being said, the Chargers have the talent and the experience to do so.

Every single game between these two teams in recent years has been close and if the Chargers didn't get in their own way then they could have won several more games against Kansas City than they have in recent years. Heck, if you change one moment in each game last year the Chargers would have gone 2-0.

If Justin Herbert doesn't throw the goal-line pick-six in Week 2 then the Chargers definitely would have won that game. Then if the Chargers just get one stop in the fourth quarter (which is easier said than done against Patrick Mahomes) they would have won the second matchup.

Beating Kansas City twice certainly is a tall order but it is not impossible. The last time the Chargers beat the Chiefs twice in one year was all the way back in 2013.
