The LA Chargers are going to have to say goodbye to some players this offseason. Los Angeles needs to free up over $20 million in salary-cap space this offseason, resulting in the inevitable departure of some familiar faces.

This happens to every NFL team every offseason, though. The Bolts are not the only team in the league that has to say goodbye to some familiar faces and in the AFC West specifically, there are some big-name players who are potentially leaving.

For one reason or another, Chargers fans should be happy that these players will be saying goodbye to the AFC West this offseason. Let's dive into the players that you should be writing a goodbye letter to this offseason.

3 players that Chargers fans can't wait to see leave the AFC West:

1. Derek Carr

Some Chargers fans might be upset that Derek Carr is leaving the division because the Raiders have been marred in mediocrity since he has been the quarterback. While that is true, Carr was actually elevating the Raiders in recent years as a quarterback in the top half of the league.

Carr is by no means elite, but he is a good quarterback. Unless the Raiders are able to land Aaron Rodgers, chances are that they will end up making a downgrade at the QB position and will quickly realize that they made a mistake letting Carr go.

The grass is always greener on the other side and the Raiders are a prime candidate to realize that this offseason. Carr will end up going to a team like the New York Jets or New Orleans Saints and will continue playing well while Vegas might be saddled with a replacement-level quarterback next season.
