Los Angeles Chargers schedule and opponents
By Jason Reed
The 2024 season is a very exciting one for the LA Chargers. After one of the most frustrating seasons in franchise history that saw a historic loss to the Las Vegas Raiders and multiple hand injuries to the team's star quarterback, the Bolts will now be led by one of the most prolific coaches in the sport, Jim Harbaugh.
Harbaugh has won every single place he has coached which has Chargers fans optimistic that he will not only win in LA but change the culture of the entire franchise for years to come. If the Harbaugh hire goes as planned then it will be a true inflection point in the history of the franchise.
It is not going to be easy, though. Just like in 2023, the Chargers are catching no breaks with the team's schedule in Harbaugh's first season at the helm. Los Angeles has a tough 17-game slate in 2024, which naturally includes two games against the defending Super Bowl champions.
Chargers 2024 schedule
The Chargers' schedule has not been confirmed yet with the league typically making an event out of the schedule release in the second week of May. The Chargers have made the most of this event and have released two viral anime schedule-release videos the last two years.
While we don't know the exact order of the games that the Chargers will play in 2024, we do know who they are going to play and which teams will be the designated home teams.
Chargers 2024 opponents

The only opponent that the Chargers have in 2024 that is confirmed to have an international game is the Carolina Panthers, who are scheduled to play in Germany. While it has not been confirmed by the NFL or the team, it has been reported that the Panthers will play the Chiefs in Germany, so the Chargers do not need to worry about making that trip.
There is also the possibility that the Chargers will play the first game of the 2024 NFL season. That first Thursday game always goes to the defending Super Bowl Champions. Chargers-Chiefs is a great game to kick off the season, especially with Jim Harbaugh now calling the shots in LA.
Speaking of Harbaugh, the Chargers will host the Baltimore Ravens in a game that will almost definitely be on primetime. The last time the two Harbaugh brothers coached against each other was in the Super Bowl.
