Week 14 outcomes that drastically help the LA Chargers playoff chances
By Jason Reed
The LA Chargers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13 of the 2021 NFL season in a game that had huge playoff implications for the Bolts. The Chargers' playoff chances now look much better than they did heading into Week 13 and are significantly better than if they were to lose to the Bengals.
Following the Week 13 slate of games the Chargers are the third seed in the AFC and even the no. 1 seed in the conference is not out of the picture. The Bolts would have to win out and get some help in the process but they are still in it. Heck, if the team wins out then they are going to win the AFC West as well.
The Chargers take on the New York Giants in Week 14 in a game that the Bolts should win. This part of the season is not only about winning games to improve the playoff chances, but getting help in various other outcomes as well. Here are the outcomes that you should be rooting for.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos are in the hunt and take on the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions, respectively. It does not really hurt the Chargers' chances if both teams win as they would still be behind the Bolts no matter what. However, both teams losing would slightly help the Bolts' chances, so that is something.
Let's get into the games that really matter.

The Titans are in the picture for the no. 1 seed in the conference and losing would only help the Chargers if it were to come down to it. We do not want to get ahead of ourselves and talk too much about being the top seed in the conference when the playoffs are not even a guarantee, so let's dive into the games that have more of an impact on the Chargers.
