How to listen to Seahawks vs. Chargers preseason game on the radio
By Jason Reed
It might not have the same stakes as Week 18 of the regular season but NFL fans are still beyond excited for the return of football. The LA Chargers and Seattle Seahawks will both start their 2024 journies on Saturday as the two teams are set to square off at SoFi Stadium.
Watching preseason action is not as easy as it is to watch regular-season action when there is always some kind of way to catch the game. For this game, if you are not a local fan who has access to your CBS affiliate (or Paramount+) then you will have to pay for NFL+ just to be able to watch the game.
Plus, it is still summer! It is much easier to cozy up on the coach on a Sunday afternoon to watch football in the fall. But on a Saturday night in the summer before school is back in session? Good luck selling that to your significant other.
If you can't watch the game, whether it be because of broadcasting limitations or because you will be out of the house, we have you covered.
Local radio stations for Seahawks-Chargers
Chargers radio network
Chargers fans can listen to Saturday's preseason action in the same place as they can the rest of the 2024 season: ALT 98.7 FM. ALT 98.7 has been the home of Chargers radio for several years.
If you are not in a vehicle or don't have an FM transmitter handy, you can listen to ALT 98.7 on their iHeart Radio station either with the iHeart Radio app, or on your web browser.
Seahawks radio network
Seahawks games can be listened to on the Umpqua Bank Radio Network, Seattle Sports 710AM and KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM. In addition to being able to listen to the stations on traditional radio, fans can also listen to KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM with their mobile app as well as on your web browser.
National radio networks
Fans around the country who have SiriusXM radio will be able to listen to the Chargers-Seahawks game regardless of location. SiriusXM broadcasts a radio feed for every single NFL game, including in the preseason.
Chargers fans will want to tune into channel 228 while Seahawks fans will want to tune into channel 385. Those channels differ every week, so the exact number is not team-specific.
