What channel is the Chargers game on today? How to watch Seahawks vs Chargers
By Jason Reed
After seven months of anticipation with a new head coach who is kickstarting a new era, the LA Chargers will officially be back in action today. The game might not count for anything as it is the first of three preseason games but it is still exciting to see the Bolts back in action in some capacity.
Los Angeles will be hosting the Seattle Seahawks, who underwent a big coaching change of their own over the offseason. Long-time head coach Pete Carroll agreed to mutually part ways with the team, welcoming former Baltimore Ravens head coach Mike Macdonald to be the new captain of the ship.
Fans of both teams are going to get their first glimpse of what the new era is going to look like, even if that glimpse is going to mostly contain players who are fighting for a roster spot. It might not be playoff football, but it is still a must-watch for football-hungry fans who are ready to see some action.
How to watch Chargers vs Seahawks on TV:
The game will be broadcast on CBS, which is available on every cable package. It is important to note, though, that only in-market fans will be able to watch the game on their CBS affiliate. Fans outside of the Los Angeles or Seattle area will have to find other means to watch the game.
There is no cable alternative for out-of-market fans who want to watch the game live. If you are an out-of-market fan you will have to cut the cord to be able to watch the game.
How to stream Chargers vs Seahawks:
In-market fans who do not have a cable subscription of any kind can also watch the game on Paramount+, which also needs a subscription. Like with cable, out-of-market fans will not be able to utilize Paramount+ to watch the games.
In addition to traditional cable providers, in-market fans can also utilize streaming services such as Fubo TV, YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV to watch the game on your local CBS affiliate.
Out-of-market fans will have to turn to NFL+ to watch the Chargers-Seahawks preseason game. NFL+ shows every out-of-market preseason game and starts at $6.99 a month.
Chargers vs Seahawks game details:
- Location: SoFi Stadium
- Kickoff time: 4:05 PT
- Last preseason matchup: 2021 (27-0 Seahawks win)
The Chargers will be hosting the Seahawks and it is the first time the two teams have played each other in the preseason since 2021. In that instance, Seattle was the home team and it was the last preseason game of the year, not the first.
That game did still represent a first for the Chargers, though, as it was Brandon Staley's first season with the team. Perhaps fans should have taken the message when Staley's defense allowed 27 points without the offense scoring a single time in the preseason finale.
Preseason outcomes definitely don't matter, but we still do not want to see the Chargers go down like this.
