How to listen to Raiders vs. Chargers Week 1 game on the radio
By Jason Reed
The LA Chargers open the 2024 season at home against the Las Vegas Raiders in a game that fans are chomping at the bit for. Not only are fans excited to officially start the Jim Harbaugh era but the desire for revenge over the Raiders is strong after a 63-21 loss last season.
Granted, that loss ended up being for the best as it allowed the Bolts to get a head start in the coaching search and improved the team's stock in the 2024 NFL Draft. But it is never good to lose to a rival like that, so those in the locker room are hungry for revenge.
There are going to be a lot of fans across the country tuning in to this game but there naturally will be those who are unable to watch. If you fall into that bucket, here is how you can stay up with the game via the radio.
Local radio stations
Chargers radio
Chargers fans can hear Matt "Money" Smith and Daniel Jeremiah on the call by tuning into ALT 98.7 FM, which will be the home of the Chargers throughout the 2024 season. The Spanish radio broadcast can be heard on Que Buena FM 105.5/94.3 as well as UniRadio San Diego.
Chargers fans in Las Vegas can also hear the Chargers-centric coverage via station KXNT. KNWZ (Palm Springs), KATY (San Bernardino), KBFB (Bakersfield) and KORE (Eugene, Oregon) will also broadcast the game on the radio.
For those without an FM transmitter who won't be in their car, you can listen to ALT 98.7 using the iHeart Radio app or by using the iHeart Radio online player.
Raiders radio
Raiders fans in Las Vegas can tune into the game live on Raider Nation Radio 920AM and KOMP 92.3. The Spanish broadcast in Las Vegas will be available at 1460 AM.
Unlike the Chargers, there is a long list of stations both throughout Nevada and California where Raiders fans can listen to Raiders-centric coverage. The exact list of stations, and where they are located, can be found here.
Like with the Chargers, Raiders fans can also find the radio broadcast online. Anyone around the country can listen to the game on Raiders.com (with a computer) and in-market fans can listen to the game on Raiders.com with a mobile device.
National Radio for Chargers vs Raiders
Those with a SiriusXM subscription can listen to the radio calls for every single game throughout the 2024 season. In Week 1, the Chargers-centric broadcast will be on channel 225 while the Raiders-centric broadcast will be on channel 380.
These channels change weekly, so be sure to check back next week if you are going to be a frequent listener this season.
NFL fans can also listen to every out-of-market game on the radio with an NFL+ subscription. NFL+ starts at $6.99 a month and also includes the ability to watch in-market games and primetime games (only on mobile).
