Best prop bets for Chargers vs. Chiefs

  • Austin Ekeler OVER 48.5 rushing yards (-117)
  • Josh Palmer OVER 49.5 receiving yards (-114)
  • Patrick Mahomes UNDER 285.5 passing yards (-120)

Austin Ekeler OVER 48.5 rushing yards (-117)

If there's one area the Chargers can attack the Chiefs defense, it's on the ground. Kansas City is allowing teams to gain 4.5 yards per carry against them this season, which ranks 24th in the NFL.

A great gameplan for the Chargers would be to run the ball with Ekeler early and often, which will hopefully result in long, time-draining drives that can keep Patrick Mahomes off the field. I wouldn't be surprised if ekeler soars past this number on Sunday.

Josh Palmer OVER 49.5 receiving yards (-114)

Since Mike Williams was sidelined with an injury, Josh Palmer has stepped up in a big way and he's gone way over 50 receiving yards in three straight games. He's finished with games of 66, 77, and 60 receiving yards the past three weeks.

Why can't he do that again in Week 7? I don't see any reason why not.

Patrick Mahomes UNDER 285.5 passing yards (-120)

Because Patrick Mahomes is Patrick Mahomes, his passing yards number is inflated on a weekly basis and usually well over his actual weekly average. That's certainly the case this week.

Oddsmakers have his passing yards total set at 285.5, but yet he's averaging only 265.5 passing yards per game this season, 20 full yards less than his set total. He's also only averaged 265.7 passing yards per game against the Chargers throughout his career.

This might be my favorite bet on the board for this AFC West showdown.
