The LA Chargers are coming off the biggest win since defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3 after they defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13. After two weeks away from home, the Chargers have an easier matchup against a much-worse team in the New York Giants.

The Giants are already one of the worst teams in the NFL and they have multiple things stacked against them in this game. Not only are they an East Coast team that is travelling as far West as they can go, but they are dealing with serious injuries to a roster that already is not that good.

Most notably, the Giants will likely be forced to start Jake Fromm at quarterback on Sunday. Mike Glennon is in concussion protocol and Daniel Jones is still dealing with his neck injury. Fromm was drafted in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills from the University of Georgia.

Chargers vs Giants odds Week 14:

According to WynnBET, the LA Chargers are favored by the most points they have been favored by all season. The Bolts enter this Week 14 matchup as 10-point favorites against the spread and are a -480 moneyline favorite. Meanwhile, the Giants are a +380 moneyline favorite.

The over/under for the game has been placed at 45 points. Based on these odds, it is safe to say that Vegas is not expecting the New York Giants to score many points against the LA Chargers.

Chargers vs Giants prediction Week 14:

This might be the grossest thing that I have ever done but I am going to go with Giants +10 and the over in this matchup. While this may appear like I am going against the Bolts, that is not it at all. The Chargers absolutely should win this game and should win it in somewhat convincing fashion.

However, because of the Giants' ability to run the ball, I think they are able to kill some clock and keep the Chargers from jumping out to a massive lead. The Bolts will likely operate most of the game with a 14-17 point lead without much stress.

MUST-READ: The Chargers' playoff chances with a 7-5 record

Basically what I am betting here is a backdoor cover. The Chargers will be 16 points with two minutes to play and the Giants will open the playbook for Jake Fromm, who will drive down and score in the closing moments of the game to make it look much closer than it really was. I am going with a final score prediction of Chargers 30, Giants 21.
