The LA Chargers are a team to watch during the 2022 NFL offseason. The Bolts are among the top teams in the league in cap space this offseason and have quite a few roster holes to fill. Tom Telesco and co. should be even more active as well as they try and capitalize on Justin Herbert being on his rookie contract. This offseason is easily one of the most important in franchise history.

There are a myriad of different directions that the team can go considering all of the positions that need to be addressed as well as the in-house free agents that the team has to decide on. Everything the Bolts do is going to influence the next move. Who the team re-signs will impact who the team targets in free agency which will impact what position the Bolts will prioritize in the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Chargers' offseason plan will become obvious as more puzzle pieces get put into place but right now, we can only speculate on which positions the Chargers might try and sign in free agency and which positions the team might save for the NFL Draft.

Either way, one thing is certain: the Bolts could improve by bringing in players from their division rivals. We have seem other teams in the AFC West employ this strategy with Melvin Ingram on the Kansas City Chiefs and just about every former Charger being on the Las Vegas Raiders. Maybe it is now the Chargers' turn.

There are 3 upcoming free agents who the LA Chargers could steal from the Chiefs.

And before we dive into them, no, Tyrann Mathieu is not one of the players mentioned on this list. We broke down the reasons for and against signing Mathieu in a previous article, which you can find here.
