The 2023 NFL Draft is less than two weeks away and there are still a lot of unknowns for the LA Chargers. While we are all putting together our best attempts at an accurate Chargers mock draft, the Bolts have to be considered one of the most unpredictable teams in the entire league.

While there are a lot of variables with the Bolts this year, there are still some guarantees that you can take to the bank. These things will undoubtedly happen in the 2023 NFL Draft.

1. The Chargers are guaranteed to take a receiver in the first three rounds

Chargers fans have been clamoring for the team to draft a wide receiver in the first round of the NFL Draft for several years now. While that is not a guarantee, it certainly is a bigger possibility than it has been in recent years.

What is a guarantee is the team drafting a wide receiver at some point in the first three rounds of the 2023 NFL Draft. It would be absolutely foolish for the team not to do so and regardless of how many questionable draft decisions Tom Telesco has made, it seems unlikely that he will ignore this pressing need.

The Chargers only have three NFL-caliber receivers on the roster. Those three are very talented but that is asking for disaster in 2023. Plus, the long-term futures of Mike Williams and Keenan Allen are up in the air after the 2023 season. A receiver will be drafted in the first three rounds and it all depends on who falls to the Chargers and where.
