The LA Chargers are making the short plane ride to Glendale, Arizona on Monday night to play the first primetime game of the Jim Harbaugh era. It is a winnable game for the Bolts as the team takes on the 2-4 Arizona Cardinals.

Arizona's record is deceiving as the team is one of the more up-and-down teams in the NFL. Some weeks they are beating the San Francisco 49ers and competing with the Buffalo Bills, other weeks they are being blown out by the Washington Commanders and Green Bay Packers.

This game is notable not just because it is a primetime game, but because it is one of two Monday Night Football games that will be played in Week 7. Los Angeles-Arizona is going up against the Baltimore Ravens vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which is a much more notable matchup.

As a result, Baltimore and Tampa Bay have received the main Monday Night Football broadcast, while the Chargers-Cardinals game is not so easy to figure out.

How to watch the Chargers take on the Cardinals on Monday Night Football

Week 7's matchup between the Chargers and Cardinals is only available to watch on ESPN+. This is not a case where the game will be on ESPN2. Fans have to have an active ESPN+ account and can only watch the game on the streaming service.

It does not matter if you are in market or out of market. The only way to watch the Chargers-Cardinals game is on ESPN+, meaning that fans have to fork over extra money to watch their favorite team play if they do not already have a subscription.

ESPN+ subscriptions start at $10.99 per month and the service is not offering any free trials for new users. Users can also bundle ESPN+ with Hulu (with ads) and Disney+ (with ads) for $14.99 a month. That is the only way to watch the game.

Traditionally, fans could watch Monday Night Football on the ESPN app as long as they linked the app to a valid TV subscription. That is not the case for this game. The only game that will be available on the ESPN app, via a TV subscription, is the Baltimore-Tampa Bay game.

And of course, there is no way to watch the game on traditional television. Fans will have to use a streaming device, or a smart TV, to access the ESPN app, subscribe to ESPN+, and watch the game.
