The LA Chargers released their final injury report with key players seemingly leaning towards absences on Monday Night Football vs. Arizona. EDGE Joey Bosa (hip), WR Quentin Johnston (ankle), and TE Hayden Hurst (groin) are all listed as doubtful for Monday night. CB Deane Leonard (hamstring) has already been ruled out.

In the questionable category for Monday are WR Simi Fehoko (shoulder/groin), WR Derius Davis (hamstring), CB Kristian Fulton (hamstring), WR Ladd McConkey (hip), and CB Ja'Sir Taylor (fibula). Joining them in that questionable group to potentially be able to play on game day for the first time this season is WR D.J. Chark (groin). Chark has been on IR since just prior to the Raiders game in Week 1.

DJ Chark's Chargers debut couldn't come at a better time

With one wide receiver listed as doubtful in Johnston and three listed as Questionable, Chark's potential reemergence onto the roster could not come at a better time. The Chargers need all the help they can get in the wide receiver room as they look to battle their offensive and defensive injury attrition over the next few weeks.

A series of practice squad moves has also cleared the table for Chark to potentially be activated off of IR on Sunday. The Chargers released S Tony Jefferson and re-signed him to the practice squad. CB Nehemiah Shelton was released from the practice squad to formally make room for Jefferson. This leaves the current roster at 52 players instead of 53.

Much like how they activated LB Nick Niemann last Saturday off of IR, the Chargers would likely have to make the decision to activate Chark by tomorrow for him to play in Arizona. As mentioned before, Chark's inclusion on the main roster would bring it back to a full 53.

While there could always be a setback or something that goes wrong, Los Angeles has certainly set the table for Chark's season debut with the team.

Derius Davis' hamstring injury is also something to watch given his role on both return teams in particular. Ladd McConkey is listed as the team's backup returner, but he's dealing with a hip injury himself.

Jalen Reagor could be one of the team's elevations on Sunday if they're not confident in Davis' ability to go on Sunday. Frankly at this rate with the wide receiver injuries, a wide receiver elevation could be necessary even if Chark is activated off of IR.

D.J. Chark's season debut could potentially come at the right time for the team as they look to stem the widespread injury bleeding on the roster. The Chargers will kickoff against the Cardinals at State Farm Stadium on Monday at 6PM PT.
