There are several LA Chargers free agents who still haven't signed with a team and they are not alone. Some of their former teammates are also still on the open market as free agency has stalled ahead of the NFL Draft.

Several big names who used to don the powder blue are still looking for a new home. For some, it's just a matter of time before they sign. For others, the outlook is more bleak.

Former Chargers who are still without a job:

LB Kyzir White

It was not that long ago that Kyzir White had a breakout season for the Chargers only for the Bolts to leave for only $3 million. White built on his strong season with another great year for the Philadelphia Eagles, leading him to follow Jonathan Gannon to the Arizona Cardinals.

White's first season in Arizona was productive but he took a huge step back in 2024. As a result, White remains unsigned with most of the league filling needs at the linebacker position.

It's hard to imagine White being forced out of the league at just 29 years old. There will naturally be a team that still needs to add linebacker help after the 2025 NFL Draft. Despite his poor season, White will be at the top of that list.

LB Eric Kendricks

The Chargers signed Eric Kendricks to replace another breakout linebacker the team let walk for cheap, Drue Tranquill. That decision instantly backfired as Kendricks was disappointing in his lone season with the Bolts while Tranquill shined for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Despite his struggles in Los Angeles, the veteran linebacker signed a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys prior to last season. Kendricks played better in Dallas than he did in Los Angeles but it was not good enough to get signed in the first wave of free agency.

The veteran linebacker is in the same boat as White. He will likely remain unsigned until after the NFL Draft, where teams will then look to plug roster holes with veteran pieces. Perhaps Kendricks will reunite with the guy who brought him to LA in the first place and sign with the New Orleans Saints.

TE Gerald Everett

Gerald Everett was fairly solid in his two years with the Chargers. While he was not a top-tier pass-catcher, he was rather consistent and always turned heads with his ability to extend plays and break tackles.

The Chicago Bears were excited to add Everett to the offense and signed him to a two-year deal last offseason. However, Chicago stopped using Everett, who played a minuscule number of snaps down the stretch for the Bears.

This led Chicago to cut Everett prior to free agency to create more cap space. Because of his nonexistent season, Everett remains unsigned waiting for the right team to take a chance on his pass-catching ceiling.

Unfortunately for Everett, the 2025 NFL Draft is deep with pass-catching tight ends. His path to a roster spot is much tougher than others on this list.

WR Keenan Allen

Easily the biggest name on this list, Keenan Allen will obviously find a team to play for in 2025. Allen is still productive and has a lot to offer to NFL offenses, especially one where he is already familiar with the starting quarterback.

It seems like only a matter of time until Allen re-signs with the Chargers. The Chargers have already brought back one former receiver in Mike Williams and Allen has been crystal clear about his desire to only play in Los Angeles or Chicago.

The Bears and Rams are no longer options for Allen, pointing him straight to the Chargers. Los Angeles should be able to bring him back on a team-friendly deal to give Justin Herbert one more weapon he is comfortable throwing to.
