The NFL is in full offseason mode, with every team on break until the start of training camp, but Monday was still a chaotic day for the league. Jalen Ramsey announced he was being traded from the Miami Dolphins to the Pittsburgh Steelers, then it was reported Ramsey was actually being moved for Minkah Fitzpatrick. With everyone focused on the swapping of two elite players, it was also reported that Pro Bowl tight end Jonnu Smith was being included in the deal for a late-round pick.

The moves left everyone in the league talking, including Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill. Like everyone else, Hill took to social media, sharing the famous gif of Will Smith standing alone in the house from Fresh Prince. That was Hill’s way of saying he’s all alone after Miami said goodbye to Ramsey, Smith, Terron Armstead, Calais Campbell, and David Long Jr. this offseason. Following the post from the star receiver, fans were quick to let him know he could be next.

If that’s the case, and Miami is willing to part ways with Hill, the Los Angeles Chargers should absolutely be interested. As a matter of fact, the Chargers should call the Dolphins regardless, and talk them into trading Hill since the franchise is currently moving on from its vets.

Early in the offseason, there was some static between Hill and Miami, with the two seemingly headed towards a separation. However, both sides have since patched things back up, with plans to head into the 2025 season together. That doesn’t mean the Dolphins can’t be talked into trading the veteran receiver, though.

Additionally, back during that period when Hill’s future in Miami was uncertain, the Chargers were reportedly named as a potential suitor by someone in Hill’s camp. If that was true then, early in the offseason, Los Angeles should still be interested in the veteran wideout. Hill is still playing at an elite level, and he’ll absolutely help out in a position of need.

Ladd McConkey is ready to follow up on a productive rookie season, and Mike Williams is also back in town. The Chargers also have other promising wideouts on the roster, but no one is near Hill’s status. Adding him to the receiver room would take the offense to another level, giving Justin Herbert an elite No. 1 receiver.
