LA Chargers mock draft if the Bolts trade down with Arizona Cardinals to 16
By Jason Reed
With the 77th overall pick, the LA Chargers select Tommy Tremble, TE, Notre Dame
Another player that has been talked about a lot by LA Chargers fans is tight end Tommy Tremble. The team lost Hunter Henry to free agency this season and while they replaced him with Jared Cook, the team still needs a long-term option that can become a TE1.
There are a lot of fans that are very high on Donald Parham but he is not a good enough blocker to be an every-down tight end. His role as a passing target, especially in the red zone, is all the Chargers need from him.

Tremble is a bit rawer in the passing game but he is an excellent blocker in both the run game and the passing game. He would instantly be the best blocking tight end on the team and would be able to learn and institute a more diverse route tree by taking a lesser role in year one and learning from Cook.
Trading down in the first round allows the Chargers to make a selection like this. Without the trade down, this would be the Chargers’ third selection in the draft and the team may turn towards an edge rusher instead of Tremble, who likely wouldn’t be there 20 picks later.
I hate to be conceded about my own mock draft but this is such an excellent start for the LA Chargers.
