LA Chargers: 4 possible Norte Dame selections in the 2021 NFL Draft

Since 2013, the LA Chargers have drafted a player out of the University of Notre Dame in five different drafts. With general manager Tom Telesco frequently drafting Notre Dame athletes in the draft, it’s safe to assume that one will probably be drafted again.
The question for the Chargers though, is who would be a perfect fit? This article will look at four Notre Dame players that I would like to see the Chargers draft in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Notre Dame players the LA Chargers could draft: Liam Eichenberg
This pick is assuming the Chargers don’t take an offensive lineman in the first round.
Eichenberg had a lot of success in his senior year. He started all 13 games at left tackle during the 2020 season. He was a part of a team that ranked 13th nationally in scoring and 11th in sacks allowed.
During the season, he had the best Pro Football Focus top pass-blocking grade (85.6) and run-blocking grade (78.8) on the offensive line. Along with that, he did not give up one sack, only allowed three QB hits, and just nine hurries on 845 snaps.
Overall, Notre Dame has had some amazing offensive lineman come out of their school. Eichenberg could be a great early second-round pick for the Chargers, that’s if they don’t take one in the first round.
