Los Angeles Chargers defense might as well finish the year without linebackers

How about that Los Angeles Chargers defense!!! Stopping the run game without any linebackers on the field!

How do you like that Los Angeles Chargers defense!?!

I love what Gus Bradley did adjusting to the Baltimore Ravens offense. Putting all the defensive backs onto the field was his best option and they worked it to perfection. The linebackers that we had left available don’t have the athleticism and ability that the rest of the defensive backs on the roster have.

The defense looked amazing! We are forcing the action and forcing turnovers all over the joint. We were getting after the quarterback and were in the backfield all the time. We had the Ravens offense spinning around in circles! At times I just sat their laughing at how well they were playing.

Melvin Ingram was a man on a mission! I love seeing him make moves and chase after the quarterback and seeing him make play after play after play. I love seeing this team get back in the backfield and getting pressure.

I’m wondering what the gameplan is going to do against the New England Patriots on defense. They might as well keep all the defense of backs on the field. When they can stop the running game of the Baltimore Ravens with the defensive backs, then we will be able to stop the running game of the New England Patriots  with all those defensive backs. Plus having all the DBs on the field will be able to help stop the passing game of Tom Brady!

I can’t wait to see Melvin Ingram get after Tom Brady! I can’t wait to see Joey Bosa get after Tom Brady! I can’t wait to see Rochelle. Can’t wait to see Uchenna! I can’t wait to see these guys get after the quarterback and forced turnovers!

This defense is going to carry this offense all the way to the Super Bowl. I know that Philip Rivers is going to get back to flinging it around against the New England Patriots defense. I also do know that this defense is going to hit Tom Brady constantly!

Having this many defensive backs on the field was a great way to help hide the deficiencies of Jahleel Addae on defense. Instead of having Addae back as the deep safety, we were able to use Rayshawn Jenkins as the deep safety and moved up Jahleel to the linebacker position. Jahleel is much better at the line of scrimmage and playing that type of game. He still is a liability when he has a cover tight ends and it will be something that we will have to watch. I know Gus will usually use Derwin James in order to cover any of the tight ends that we will be facing in the next three games though, so I think we will be alright.

I love that the defense made big time adjustments and were playing like there was no tomorrow! I love that this team is playing aggressive! Time to get the offense rolling! Time to beat down the New England Patriots and get to the next week!

What did you guys think about the defense without linebackers? Should we keep it rolling next weekend?
