Ah yes, it’s the the team Eli Manning refused to play for against the team he chose to play for. That always makes for a great storyline when the Los Angeles Chargers face the New York Giants.
Week 5 brings a rare cross-country trip to MetLife Stadium for the Chargers who will be fresh of a three-game home stand when they head to New York. It will be the first time the Chargers have faced the Giants on the road since the 2009 season.
Though Manning didn’t want to play for the Chargers, he’s never been able to beat them. He’s 0-3 against the team that actually drafted him. That being said, looking at the Chargers’ schedule, this is one of the toughest games the team faces all season, at least on paper.
All-Time Series History
Chargers lead 6-5. Los Angeles has won the last three games over the Giants, with the last win in the series for New York coming all the way back in the 1998 season.
