As the Los Angeles Chargers have climbed to 4-2 on the season, their overall solid performance so far has not been without its seriously ugly spots, including, most notably, the sub-par play and injury troubles of the offensive line.
Yet, the eye test alone does not always tell the whole story. According to PFF, center Bradley Bozeman has allowed 16 pressures through six games this season: a number that would make him a historically leaky center were it to play out across the whole season.

If that pace holds for 17 games he would be the first center in the league since Matt Paradis on the Panthers in 2019 to allow more than 40 pressures in a regular season.

The Chargers' offensive line could somehow be in worse shape than we thought
As Los Angeles largely failed to bring in additional offensive line depth this offseason outside of Mekhi Becton, fans' fears quickly came to fruition as star left tackle Rashawn Slater went down for the season to a knee injury in training camp.
Since that time, things have only gotten worse, as tackle Joe Alt has now missed multiple games with an ankle sprain and both Becton and Trey Pipkins III have missed time as well.
To make matters worse, the players that have stepped in, such as Austin Deculus and even Bobby Hart, have not performed well, leaving quarterback Justin Herbert to deal with an almost insurmountable amount of pressure on a game-to-game basis.
Heading into Week 7, the Chargers are tied for the fifth-most sacks allowed in the NFL, having given up 18 through their first six matchups.
While things should shore up a bit when Alt and Pipkins return, the team needs to lean on its more experienced linemen, including Bozeman, and they have failed them this season.
Bozeman, particularly, is having one of the worst stretches of his career, failing not only to handle his own assignments but also to relieve some of the pressure on Becton and Zion Johnson to his left and right.
For context, Bozeman's name being mentioned next to Matt Paradis's 2019 season is not good. In 2019, the Carolina Panthers had what was essentially the worst offensive line in the league, and they were tied for the most sacks allowed on the season with an absurd 58.
Moreover, following his abysmal 2019 stretch, Paradis was only in the league for another season and a half before retiring due to injury concerns. Therefore, it's safe to say that, if Bozeman continues on this pace, the Chargers could be in for a historically bad season from one of their most important players on their line.
