After two weeks full of games where the outcomes did not matter football fans are excited for the end of the preseason. While there are still a few weeks until the start of the regular season, the LA Chargers and Dallas Cowboys will get their final tune-ups in on Saturday.

If this was a regular season game it would be one of the most anticipated matchups of the year. The elite tandem of Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert would be traveling to play America's Team in a game that would inevitably be entertaining.

Instead, very few starters are playing in this matchup as both teams will be working out what the backend of the roster looks like more than anything else. That might not be everyone's cup of tea but for those of you who do want to watch that, we have you covered.

Chargers-Cowboys TV channel:

The Chargers-Cowboys game in preseason Week 3 will be broadcast on two different channels. This is the first nationally televised preseason game for the Chargers this year, meaning fans around the country will be able to watch it on NFL Network.

That is not the only place where fans can catch the action. Fans who want team-specific coverage can tune into their local CBS stations to catch the game. Chargers-centric coverage will be available on CBS Los Angeles, while Cowboys-centric coverage will be available on CBS Texas.

Both the Chargers-centric and Cowboys-centric pre-game coverage will start an hour before kickoff at noon PT. There will be no game-specific pre-game coverage on NFL Network.

Chargers-Cowboys announcers:

The Chargers' broadcast will feature a different announcing team as Matt "Money" Smith and Daniel Jeremiah will be back to doing the radio broadcast exclusively. Noah Eagle (who is returning from calling basketball at the Paris Olympics) is returning to call the game alongside legendary Chargers quarterback, Dan Fouts. Jaime Maggio will provide coverage on the sidelines.

Bill Jones will be on play-by-play for the Cowboys' broadcast with Isaiah Stanback on color commentary and Kyle Youman reporting from the sideline.

Chargers and Cowboys recent outcomes:

The Chargers have been pretty dreadful in the preseason as the backup quarterback play has been awful. Learning a new offense is hard enough and it is made worse when subpar quarterbacks are under center.

Los Angeles is 0-2 in the preseason and has not scored a single touchdown in either of the two games.

The same cannot be said for Dallas, who saw backup Trey Lance have a good game against the Las Vegas Raiders last week. Dallas is 1-1 in preseason action thus far.
