3. Chargers lose last 3 games of 2023 season to fall out of playoffs

So we have already given you two extremely positive bold predictions for the Chargers 2023 schedule that is in the realm of possibility. Now, we have to look at the other side of the coin and look at what could be in the realm of possibility that would hurt the team.

If the Chargers don't end up sweeping the Chiefs in 2023 then they could end up losing the final week of the season against them. That is just the tip of the iceberg, though, as the Chargers have been given a really tough end to the season that could derail the team's playoff chances.

The hope obviously is that the Chargers will not fall in the final three games of the year and it is more likely that they win at least one of the games. But it is not out of the realm of possibility for the Chargers to play themselves out of the playoffs in the final three weeks of the season, which is a scary thought.

This stretch ends with the Chiefs and starts with a home game against the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo is a legitimate Super Bowl contender and is a really hard team to beat. Losing to them is not the end of the world in most cases.

Sandwiched between these two games is a road game against the Denver Broncos. While this seems fine on paper, Denver is a really hard team to beat on the road, especially in January. Even if they are not playing for anything they will try to play spoiler and ruin the Chargers' playoff chances.
