2. Chargers remain unbeaten the longest in 2023

We told you that these are going to be some bold predictions but they still fall in the realm of possibility. There is absolutely a chance if this team stays healthy and Kellen Moore has the kind of impact that the fans are expecting that the Chargers could be the NFL's last unbeaten team in 2023.

Granted, they would need other teams to lose games as this would not last forever but the Chargers have a manageable start to the season. There are some losable games, absolutely, but there is also a case to be made for the Bolts starting the season on an immense hot streak.

LA opens the season against the Miami Dolphins, which is a great time to catch them. Brandon Staley put together a defensive masterclass against Tua Tagovailoa last season and this will be his first in-game action of the 2023 season. There will be no time before this for Miami to iron out some the kinks that will carry into 2023.

Then the Chargers take on the Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings and Las Vegas Raiders before the bye. While the Chargers could lose one or two of those games, all three opponents are far less talented than the Bolts and can be beaten.

After the bye, the Chargers get the Cowboys at home. That is a big matchup but with an extra week to prepare the Chargers will have an advantage. Following that is the Kansas City Chiefs on the road, where the Chargers will be underdogs. However, as mentioned, they could end up sweeping KC and thus win this game.

That leads them into a winnable Chicago Bears game before they take on the New York Jets and Detroit Lions in back-to-back weeks. Those are two really tough games and by then, the miracle run would likely end. But that would still be an 8-0 start for the Chargers if they can take advantage of the bye week, upset the Chiefs and simply win the other games that they should win anyway.

It would certainly be surprising but it is in the realm of possibility.
