Reason why the Chargers will win: The Titans' secondary is problematic

The Titans have a very good run defense and a good pass rush that will make a quarterback's life very hard on any given Sunday. However, the team does not have a very good secondary, at least that is how things are looking after the first week of the season.

Derek Carr of all people threw for over 300 yards in Week 1 against the Titans. Tennessee was able to adopt a bend-don't-break approach to keep the Saints at 17 points but it was still way too easy for Carr (who didn't even look good and missed some wide-open guys).

Not only do the Chargers have the quarterback advantage but their quarterback is facing off against a secondary that he can expose. With Austin Ekeler also missing practice Thursday, and Tennesee's great run defense, this game has all the makings of being a passing clinic for Herbert.

Week 1 was about establishing the Chargers' run game and showing that this offense is not going to be one-dimensional. Week 2 should be about Herbert and the passing game and letting the star quarterback go out and sling it.

One of the biggest gripes about Joe Lombardi when he was the offensive coordinator, was the fact that he would not adjust much game-to-game or in-game. Kellen Moore has a chance to prove he is different by exploiting Tennessee's weakness.
