Drop problems have plagued Quentin Johnston before he was even drafted to the LA Chargers. Johnston's hands were one of his biggest concerns entering the league and those concerns followed him, even resulting in a game-losing drop his rookie season.

Johnston had some positive moments in the first game of his sophomore season against the Las Vegas Raiders but he also had a costly drop on third down in the fourth quarter. It is safe to say he has not done enough to make fans confident in his hands.

Johnston's hands might not be working very well when it comes to catching the football but they did work on Sunday when it was time to get in a scuffle. Teammate Joshua Palmer got into it with Raiders cornerback Jack Jones after a failed two-point conversion attempt late in the fourth quarter and Johnston came flying in to let his presence be known.

A video of the skirmish from the broadcast where you can really see Johnston going at the Raiders can be viewed here. Here is what the fight looked like from the press box:

Quentin Johnston avoids ejection in Chargers-Raiders fight

While Johnston was the player everyone online was talking about because of how he flew into the scuffle and defended his teammates, there were no early punishments for the second-year first-round pick.

Instead, Palmer and Jones were both handed unsportsmanlike conduct penalties that offset and resulted in both players being ejected from the game. There is a good chance they will have a letter from the league office waiting in their locker on Tuesday with a fine.

Even though he was not ejected, Johnston can also be handed a fine if the league deems his involvement requires a fine. The NFL typically draws the line with punches thrown and while there were no Rougned Odor-level punches, Johnston did come flying in his arms swinging.

But, at the end of the day, the Chargers still walked away with the victory and that is all Johnston and Co. care about. It wouldn't be surprising if Jim Harbaugh has his team running extra sprints for taking the bait and fighting the Raiders, though.
