Week 17 at Denver Broncos: Loss

The Chargers can get the best of the Broncos at home but it is a completely different beast to go into Denver in late December and come away with a win. This is something that the Chargers have always struggled to do and it is really hard to see the team taking both games against this Broncos team with how well it is playing.

Plus, with how the Broncos have turned it around, this game will almost certainly have some kind of stakes involved. At best the Chargers are going to be 7-8 with an extremely outside chance of making the playoffs. At worst, this Chargers team might not have anything to play for and will roll over with Brandon Staley already having one foot out the door.

In classic Chargers fashion, the team will do enough to keep it close but the home team will ultimately prevail, giving the Chargers a 7-9 record.

Week 18 at Kansas City Chiefs: Loss

The season will essentially be over at this point in the year and it would not be surprising if Justin Herbert didn't play in this game. Kansas City, meanwhile, will almost certainly have something to play for as the No. 1 seed in the AFC will not be locked in by then.

The Chiefs, Ravens and Dolphins all have three losses on the season and there definitely be something on the line for Kansas City in this game. As a result, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce will play and will give Chargers fans a sad send-off.

This would give the Chargers a 7-10 record on the season. For comparison's sake, the only 7-10 team last season was the Tennessee Titans, who had the 10th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
