NFL power rankings, teams 27-23:

27. Jacksonville Jaguars

Urban Meyer is out of the building and that alone is a massive win for the Jaguars. Now the team just has to hope that the most surefire quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck actually starts to show some of that potential. Jacksonville has talent but they are also run extremely poorly, so it is hard to gauge what they can do in 2022.

26. Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions are in year two of the post-Matt Stafford rebuild and the team has some things that are to like about the roster. Aiden Hutchinson was a huge get for the Lions with the second overall pick and Amon-Ra St. Brown was a top-five receiver in the league in the last quarter of the season. There is still a lot of work to do, however.

25. New York Giants

Daniel Jones being under center is a huge issue for the New York Giants and the quicker the team realizes that the better. That being said, the Giants took some really promising steps in the right direction this offseason. They hired a new GM, hired one of the best coordinators in the sport in Brian Daboll and had a really strong showing in the 2022 NFL Draft.

24. Washington Commanders

Terry McLaurin just inked a new deal with the Washington Commanders, which makes the Chargers' deal with Mike Williams look even better just a few months removed. The biggest move for Washington this offseason was trading for Carson Wentz, who actually did not play that bad last season. He just did what he does and shelled up in big moments.

23. Pittsburgh Steelers

Kenny Pickett was by far my least favorite of the top quarterback prospects in the draft and that is who the Steelers picked with their choice of the litter. The defense is still going to be good, the coaching is great, but for the second year in a row, quarterback will hold the team back.
