The LA Chargers were one of the best offensive teams in the league last season but a poor defense ultimately held the team back. This offseason has consisted of the Chargers focusing on the defensive side of the football, adding star players in Khalil Mack and J.C. Jackson as headlining moves to build up both the defensive line and secondary.

The Chargers' offense and a potential MVP season from Justin Herbert will put the team in every single game. However, if the Bolts are truly going to be a Super Bowl contender then the defense has to come around as well. If the defense comes around to the point where it is a top-10 defense in the league then the Chargers could make a deep playoff run.

The defense certainly will be tested in 2022 as there are some solid offenses that the Bolts will look to contain.

Here are the five best offenses the Chargers play in 2022:

5. Denver Broncos

There are several teams that could fill this fifth spot as there are some variables for several teams. If the Chargers play the Cleveland Browns with Deshaun Watson then they make this list, although that is still up in the air. A team like the Dolphins, Colts, or Titans could make this list depending on how they play in 2022, but ultimately, the Denver Broncos make the list.

Denver makes the list as it has a top-10 quarterback in Russell Wilson that is throwing to a talented receiving corps that has not had good quarterback play in the past. Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick, Courtland Sutton and K.J. Hamler is as good as you can get in a top-four group of receivers, even if they are lacking a true elite no. 1.

The running attack is going to be a problem with Javonte Williams becoming a featured back in year two and the offensive line, as long as it stays healthy, is good enough to hold everything up. The Broncos are one or two offensive line injuries away from disaster but you can say that about almost any team, including the Chargers.
