Justin Herbert is coming off of the best rookie season in NFL history and has already become the most beloved player on the LA Chargers. Herbert, along with new head coach Brandon Staley, represents a new era of Charger football that will hopefully yield better results.

The excitement for the 2021 season is through the roof for Chargers fans as the team has a legitimate chance to make the playoffs for the first time since 2018.

The rest of the league has started to take notice as well. NFL pundits are praising the Chargers and Justin Herbert. Every year there is a popular team that many different analysts latch onto as being the team to watch. The Chargers are that team this year.

The main reason is Herbert, who has won over the hardest crowd to win over: the betting crowd. While they are just betting odds at the end of the day, Justin Herbert's MVP odds, and how they have moved, are very telling.

Las Vegas is all-in on Justin Herbert, giving the LA Chargers quarterback the third-best MVP odds.

According to the odds posted on WynnBET, Justin Herbert checks in with the third-highest odds to win the NFL MVP award, only trailing Patrick Mahomes (+550) and Josh Allen (+900). At +1000, Herbert even has better odds than last season's MVP, Aaron Rodgers (+1100).

Charger fans who are all-in on Herbert might not be surprised about his place in the MVP odds but the way he has moved up the board is extremely telling of what could happen in the 2021 NFL season.

Back in mid-July, we posted a Herbert MVP odds article, stressing to our readers that the odds were too good to pass up. The odds back in July were +2000, double what they are now.

In the span of six weeks, Herbert has gone from +2000 odds and ranking ninth on the odds list to ranking third with +1000 odds. That means that people are hammering the bets on Justin Herbert and that Las Vegas is starting to believe in the second-year quarterback as well.

It does not often make sense but oddsmakers are always a step ahead and ahead of the curve. If there is a player with this much movement then that typically bodes well for his season.

Even if Herbert does not win the award, this is a great sign that he is primed for another fantastic season as he will likely, at the very least, be in the running for the award.

The payout may not be as good as it was six weeks ago but it is still a bet that Charger fans have to jump on. Nothing better than seeing your quarterback succeed and winning money because of it.
