One of the few issues that the LA Chargers had on the offensive side of the ball in 2021 was dropping passes. The Bolts lead the entire NFL in dropped passes, doing no favors to star young quarterback, Justin Herbert. At some point, we do have to wonder if there is a common denominator and ask if Herbert is perhaps slinging it in there too hard, but at the end of the day, these are professional athletes that should not be dropping passes as often as they did.

The defensive side of the football is going to be the biggest priority for the Bolts this offseason but the front office could still look to add to the offensive side of the football. Right tackle and right guard are the most obvious additions but they may look to help Herbert by bringing in pass catchers as well.

If the LA Chargers do bring in pass catchers, they should look for options who don't struggle with drops.

The Chargers are not likely going to break the bank on these pass catchers but there are some solid potential targets for the Bolts to potentially consider. Each of these options were among the best at their position in drop rate in 2021 and would certainly be a welcome addition to the Chargers.

In the following pages, we broke down one potential target at each pass-catching position — wide receiver, tight end and running back.
