3. Riley Reiff

One of the biggest needs this offseason for the LA Chargers is the right tackle position and the free-agent market is not very deep at RT. One of the names that the LA Chargers could look to pursue (if they are interested in drafting another position in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft) if Riley Reiff.

Reiff isn't actually playing in the Super Bowl as he was put on the Injured Reserve back in December. That is part of the reason why the Bengals' offensive line has been so horrendous at times in the playoffs. Reiff was the best player on that O-line and not having him has exposed the rest of the unit.

There are some potential concerns with bringing in Reiff as he is 33 years old and is coming off of a leg injury but he was playing well for the Bengals before getting hurt. Reiff is by no means an elite right tackle, but he is an average-at-worst tackle that would come at a decent price for the Bolts.

That is the important thing to note if the Chargers were to pursue a player like Reiff. Drafting a right tackle is certainly in the equation but there is a chance that the team instead wants to fill that hole before the 2022 NFL Draft so they are not pigeon-holing themselves into taking a tackle in the first round.

And while the team has cap space, there are other positions that they are more likely to spend big on. That could make a value signing like Reiff among the team's most wanted moves and it would not be all that surprising.
