Top positions for the LA Chargers to pursue in the first round: 2. Right Tackle

As great as Jordan Davis is, I believe right tackle has officially passed up defensive tackle as a bigger need for the Bolts now that Bryan Bulaga is no longer a part of the team.

Before, we had a questionable right tackle spot with Bulaga who was very injury-prone yet still a viable option. Now that he's gone, and now that defensive tackle has been filled to an extent, it only makes sense right tackle moves up in importance.

Watching Maxx Crosby have his way in Week 18 and giving my guy Justin Herbert a hard time from his throwing side made me sick. I REALLY don't feel like seeing it happen again.

Evan Neal out of Alabama and Ickey Ekwonu out of NC State are projected to go pretty early in the first round, but that still leaves the Chargers with plenty of options that should fall to them at 17 like Charles Cross out of Mississippi State or Trevor Penning out of Northern Iowa.

Cross could go.......and really should go to Carolina, but they obviously don't know what they're doing, so I fully expect them to take a quarterback at this point and completely disregard the fact that the offensive line is the reason they were so bad last year.

Mel Kiper and Daniel Jeremiah both have Trevor Penning going at 17 right now and Charles Cross falling a bit. I think both guys could be available at 17- Penning definitely should be-and I would not be opposed to the Bolts jumping on either of them.

Cross's prospect grade at the combine was a 6.44 while Penning's was a 6.40 and those were the third and fourth-best grades for -linemen behind Neal and Ekwonu.
