With the 2021 NFL season officially behind them, the Los Angeles Chargers are focused on improving their roster throughout the NFL's lengthy offseason.

Following a 2021 season that ended in a disappointing 9-8 record after a 4-1 start, the Bolts are primed with assets and core players on the roster that make their window for a championship run now.

The 2022 NFL Draft, slated to start in just over two months from now on April 28th, is the major centerpiece of the offseason. The 11 draft picks that the Chargers are projected to hold provides major opportunity and flexibility when trying to turn the team into championship caliber.

Picking with the 17th overall selection in round one, it's imperative that Tom Telesco and Brandon Staley get their first pick right for the second year in a row. With a variety of needs that must be addressed with premium selections in the draft, we'll begin to explore some prospects that the team may consider avoiding with their first pick.

There are 3 players, in particular, that the LA Chargers should avoid at 17.
