The LA Chargers could have made a massive statement in Week 6 with a road win over the Baltimore Ravens before heading into the bye week. The team would have been 5-1, which bodes well historically.

Instead, the Chargers were routed and beaten in all three phases of the game. It was not close from the beginning and the Chargers head into the bye with a 4-2 record. While the loss in Week 6 hurts, a 4-2 record with this gauntlet of an opening schedule is still promising.

The LA Chargers were our top team in the AFC in last week's rankings. That is no longer the case. Let's get into them.

AFC power rankings after the Baltimore Ravens blow out the LA Chargers:

16. Houston Texans (Last week: 15)

The Houston Texans were thoroughly routed by the Indianapolis Colts and the little bit of potential that Davis Mills showed against the New England Patriots went to the wayside. Houston was actually fun to watch with Tyrod Taylor under center. With this roster, Tyrod is not going to be able to save the Texans from a horrible record.

15. Jacksonville Jaguars (Last week: 16)

The Jacksonville Jaguars won their first game since Week 1 of the 2020 season and it happened over the pond in London. A win is a win but a bad football team is a bad football team and that is what Jacksonville is. The Jaguars at least have something going for them in first overall pick Trevor Lawrence, who is starting to come into form.

14. Miami Dolphins (Last week: 13)

You can't lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars and not move down in the power rankings. Miami is probably better than the record indicates but this has been an awfully disappointing year for the Dolphins. They host the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7 in a game that is essentially a must-win.

Next up, the no. 13-10 ranked teams.
