AFC power rankings, the top five:

5. Cincinnati Bengals (Last week: 7)

The Cincinnati Bengals played the team's biggest game in several years and it came in Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens. This was a huge prove-it game for the Bengals and they more than proved it, beating the Ravens 41-7 with a dominant second-half performance.

Ja'Marr Chase is the real deal and the Bengals have one of the most exciting offenses in the league. While the win against Baltimore is huge, the next-best win for the Bengals this season is either Minnesota or Pittsburgh. They have had an easy schedule and have capitalized.

4. LA Chargers (Last week: 3)

Bengals fans would argue that Cincy belongs above the Chargers as they just blew out the team that blew out the Bolts. While that is true, the Chargers have more impressive wins than the Bengals, who just had their first impressive win of the season. Three of the four wins this season for the Bolts are against teams who rank in the top eight.

The Chargers still go down a spot with another AFC team having a huge statement win. With an easy schedule ahead, now is the time for the Chargers to go on a serious run and cement their place as the best team in the AFC West.

3. Baltimore Ravens (Last week: 1)

The Baltimore Ravens were the top team in the AFC in last week's rankings but after a huge loss like this, they move down to third. They are still 5-2 on the season and have impressive wins over the likes of the Chiefs and Chargers but they also lost to the Raiders and barely beat the Lions on a record-setting field goal.

You can honestly rank the top three in any order and I would be fine with it. Right now, I have Baltimore third.

2. Buffalo Bills (Last week: 2)

The Buffalo Bills had their bye week and if it was not for another result they would have slid in as the top team in the AFC just because of the Ravens losing. However, because of the Bills' last result, I cannot rank them no. 1.

1. Tennessee Titans (Last week: 5)

Do I think the Titans are the most talented team in the AFC? No. Do I expect them to hold onto this spot for more than one week? No. Is it gross that the top-ranked team lost to the New York Jets? Yes.

However, I do my rankings solely based on results and the Titans are coming off of back-to-back huge wins. They battled the Bills and came out on top and then absolutely shelled the Kansas City Chiefs.

Next. Why the Bolts are in a prime position to make a trade. dark

Yes, they lost to the Jets but their other loss also came in Week 1 against the undefeated Cardinals. With wins over the Bills, Chiefs and Seahawks, I have to give the Titans the top spot... even if it probably won't last.
