Fantasy football owners who took the risk of drafting Mike Williams likely turned to Joshua Palmer to fill the void after Williams suffered a torn ACL. Even those that didn't draft Williams could have benefitted as Palmer was a smart waiver-wire pickup considering he was the new WR2 of the Chargers.
When Palmer gets the chance to play more and be a bigger part of the offense he has been somewhat reliable. However, that all goes out the window if Palmer is also missing the game with injury and that suddenly became a possibility on Sunday.
Despite practicing all week with no problem, Palmer was a surprise addition to the Chargers injury report on Sunday. Palmer has officially been listed as questionable with a groin injury.
Is Joshua Palmer playing on Monday Night Football?
The Chargers have not yet released an official designation for Palmer but it looks promising that Palmer will play. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that both he and Joey Bosa are expected to play on Monday Night Football.
Fantasy owners and Chargers fans alike can all breath a sigh of relief.
