Is Josh Palmer playing tonight? (Latest injury update for Bears vs. Chargers in NFL Week 8)
By Peter Dewey
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Josh Palmer is considered to be a game-time decision for Week 8 against the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football.
Palmer is dealing with a knee injury, but he is coming off one of the best games of his career. The Chargers wideout caught five passes for a career-high 133 yards in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
With Mike Williams out, the Chargers have relied on Palmer heavily in the passing game alongside Keenan Allen.
Here’s the latest on his status for Sunday Night Football:
Josh Palmer injury status for Week 8 matchup vs. Chicago Bears
Palmer is listed as questionable for Week 8 against the Bears with a knee injury. He was able to log a limited practice session on Friday.
Best Josh Palmer prop bet for Week 8 vs. Chicago Bears
Josh Palmer anytime touchdown scorer
Palmer only has one score on the season, but he may be worth a shot in this prop – especially since his yardage totals could be volatile since he’s banged up. That may lead to him playing less total snaps.
Since Williams went down, Palmer has been the clear No. 2 receiving option over rookie Quentin Johnston for Los Angeles.
Chicago has one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL, allowing the fourth most yards and second most passing scores (14) this season. At +215 odds, Palmer is a solid bet to get six – if he plays – in Week 8.
