How to watch Chargers vs. Steelers in Week 3 with and without cable
By Jason Reed
The battle of two 2-0 teams that not many casual NFL fans expected. The LA Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers both head into Week 3 with undefeated records and two defenses that look like they are among the best in the league.
Granted, neither team has played tough competition yet. The Steelers defeated a hobbled Kirk Cousins and a rookie who doesn't look too great in Bo Nix. The Chargers beat a Las Vegas Raiders team that did upset the Baltimore Ravens, but also beat the worst team in the NFL, the Carolina Panthers (leading to Bryce Young's benching).
With two fiery defenses and two offenses that leave more to be desired (Pittsburgh having a QB problem and Los Angeles having a weapons problem), this is bound to be a relatively boring game on Sunday. However, there are still rabid fans of both teams who can't wait to watch.
How to watch Chargers vs Steelers on TV:
Fans who are in the Los Angeles and Pittsburgh area will be able to watch this game on CBS. The early slate of games in Week 3 is not that exciting, so there is a good chance that the battle of two 2-0 teams will have a larger coverage map that extends outside of Los Angeles and Pittsburgh.
CBS is available on every basic television provider. If you do happen to live in an area where the game is out of market then your best bet is to utilize NFL Sunday Ticket. Sunday Ticket is now available through YouTube TV and has a seven-day free trial for new users.
How to watch Chargers vs Steelers without cable:
The best bet for in-market fans to watch the Chargers and Steelers without cable is to utilize Paramount+. Paramount+ streams every in-market CBS game throughout the 2024 season for the price of a regular subscription. If you are out-of-market, then Paramount+ is not an option (although you can watch your local CBS game).
If Paramount+ is not an option then you can utilize several streaming platforms that offer the same experience as a traditional TV subscription. Fubo, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and Sling TV are all options to watch your local CBS broadcast.
But again, if you fall out of the coverage map then your best bet is going to be Sunday Ticket.

This is the home opener for the Steelers and after such a great start there is no denying that the crowd is going to be loud as those in attendance wave their terrible towels as if it is going out of style. With Panthers fans being dejected, this will be the first real road test for the Chargers under Jim Harbaugh.
This is the first time the Chargers have played in Pittsburgh since 2018. That game ended in a 33-30 Chargers win that saw the Bolts comeback from a multi-score halftime deficit.
In fact, the Chargers are riding a two-game winning streak in Pittsburgh heading into the Week 3 contest. The last time the Steelers were able to beat the Chargers at home was all the way back in Week 4 of the 2009 season.
