How to listen to Chargers vs. Rams preseason game on the radio
By Jason Reed
The NFL's two Los Angeles teams are squaring off in the preseason for the fourth year in a row as the Chargers and Rams will go to battle on Saturday in Week 2. Of course, this battle has much lower stakes than in the regular season as the outcome of the game does not actually matter.
However, both teams still have a lot to play for, especially on an individual level. Players on both sidelines will be playing to impress their respective coaches and earn a spot on the team's 53-man roster.
Actually watching every snap of a preseason game is not a requirement for fans and might be harder to do considering it is on a Saturday. If you are unable to tune in, you can still follow all of the action in audio-form. Here is how.
Local radio stations for Chargers-Rams
Chargers radio network
Local Chargers fans can tune into the same radio station as the regular season to catch all of the action in audio form. ALT 98.7 FM is your home for Chargers football throughout the 2024 season and in the preseason.
ALT 98.7 also has an iHeart Radio feed that fans can tune into if they are not in their cars or do not have an FM transmitter handy. You can download the iHeart Radio app to your mobile device or listen to the station's live stream on your web browser.
Rams radio network
There are several places for Rams fans to tune into Saturday's action, which will also be the case for the entire 2024 season. ESPNLA 710AM and 93.1 Jack FM will both be broadcasting the game, so fans have their choice of AM or FM radio.
KWKW 1330 AM will also be broadcasting the game as the official Spanish language provider of Rams football. Just like with the Chargers' broadcast, you can listen to any of the broadcasts locally with iHeart Radio.
National radio networks
SiriusXM will continue its coverage of preseason NFL football, providing fans two separate audio experiences depending on which team you prefer.
Chargers fans with SiriusXM will want to tune into channel 230 for Bolts-centric coverage while Rams-centric coverage will be available on channel 386. The channels do change weekly, so be sure to check back next week for an update on what channel the Chargers' broadcast will be on.
