The 2023 NFL Draft is right around the corner and Chargers fans are clamoring for who the next rookie to don the powder blue will be. Unlike previous years, it is hard to pinpoint exactly what position the Chargers may target early in the draft as there is a multitude of options.

That being said, fans can read the tea leaves to try and get an idea of what prospects the Bolts might be high on. It is not uncommon for NFL teams to make decisions based on connections in this league and there are several prospects with legitimate connections to the Bolts.

3 draft prospects with legitimate connections to the LA Chargers:

Jordan Addison, WR, USC

Jordan Addison's connection with the Chargers has been documented here on Bolt Beat in the past. Before he was a member of the USC Trojans, Addison played for the Pittsburgh Panthers and one of the coaches that helped recruit him was current Chargers WR coach, Chris Beatty.

Once Beatty left Pitt to join the Chargers' coaching staff Addison left to join the USC Trojans. There, he cemented his place as a first-round receiver and is a real candidate to be the team's first-round pick in 2023.

Addison may not have that game-breaking speed that Chargers fans are hoping for but he has the highest floor of any wide receiver prospect that will go late in the first round. At the very worst, Addison has the make up to be a starting wide receiver in this league for a long time.

He may not fit exactly what the team needs logistically or what the fans want but his connection to Beatty could get him in the door.
