The LA Chargers absolutely needed a win in Week 3 against the 0-2 Minnesota Vikings and that is exactly what the team got. It was a rollercoaster game that only these two franchises could play but when the dust finally settled, the Bolts were the team that saved their season and moved to 1-2.

This is the first game that the Chargers have won since January 1, snapping a four-game losing streak that dated back to Week 18 last year. In classic Chargers fashion, this game had to come down to the very last play, even though the Bolts had several standouts that carried the team.

You would think that the Chargers blew the Vikings out with some of the stat lines that were produced in this game. Regardless, this game produced five concrete winners for the Bolts, as well as a player who falls on the other side of the coin.

Chargers winner: Keenan Allen

Keenan Allen has had many great games in his time. When thinking about Allen's best-ever game, many fans would turn to the Thanksgiving game against the Dallas Cowboys in 2017 or his huge outburst against the Green Bay Packers in 2015.

Allen gave fans a concrete answer on what is his best-ever game on Sunday. The veteran wide receiver finished with 18 catches for 215 yards and added a 49-yard passing touchdown to Mike Williams. He was Justin Herbert's go-to option all game and was the motor that drove the offense.

This was a nice reminder that Allen is still one of the best receivers in the league and the Chargers are going to need him to be that moving forward. It looks like Williams may miss significant time (if not the rest of the season) with a knee injury, prompting Allen and the rest of the receiving corps to step up.

If Week 3 (and the season up to this point) is any indication, Allen should have no trouble rising to the occasion.
